I really enjoyed this place!

The pictures made the place look better than it was. We spent two nights here to be nearer the city centre, which is about a 15-minute walk away, but the neighbourhood wasn’t great. There was a strong cigarette smell throughout the room. We tried airing it out, but it seemed to come from the walls, bed frame and sofa too. The TV made a strange high-pitched noise when plugged in, the bathroom door wouldn’t close, and the Wi-Fi barely worked. When we contacted the property, they kindly offered us a room at another one of their hotels, but it was too far from both the centre and the airport. They said the internet can be unreliable when traffic is high, but that didn’t solve the problem.

The street outside was busy and noisy, and at night we could hear it from our room, including a party nearby. Inside, the room smelled of cigarettes, the bathroom door wouldn’t close, the “smart” TV constantly made a high-pitched noise, and the Wi-Fi was basically unusable. When we asked about the connection, we were told too many people were using it, which seems like something a hotel should expect. We stayed two nights with my wife, and I was already thinking of leaving when we arrived. Support offered a room near the Port because there were no vacant rooms here, but it was too far away for us. They did send a maintenance person to fix the bathroom door. I’ll avoid this place in future.

The room was nice and clean, and the service was good. But I was in Athens for a business trip, and the party at the Morales bar kept music blaring until the early hours. We barely slept on our first night. Really frustrating.
