Dimitris A.
I added photos because of the negative reviews. After reading the two complaints I expected a fight, but the place is self-sufficient, with a camera facing the doorway, and the low price reflects that the owner isn’t there around the clock. It’s currently half full, and everyone does a good job cleaning up after themselves. I saw no mold, and the bathrooms are ventilated. The balcony was clean, considering how carelessly some smokers leave ash around. There’s a broom and dustpan, which I used in the dorm and on the balcony, and got everything squeaky clean in five minutes. The dorm has lockers and space. The kitchen is well equipped and clean, and the neighborhood is great, with three full-sized grocery stores, a little plaza with coffee shops two blocks away, and a nearby train station. The nights were chilly, so I needed a duvet. The owner was on a flight, but I still got one. He’s not on-site, and I haven’t met him during my 5-day stay. I filled out a form to get the instructions for entering the building and apartment. I paid online; the owner has international accounts, so that went more smoothly than I expected. It’s been a great place to stay for a couple of weeks. Athens is a big city with a great vibe. Enjoy!
