The Classic Residence Acropolis by Aura Homes

The host was friendly, communicated well, and was extremely helpful. The apartment was fully equipped and well prepared, with modern decor and architecture. It’s centrally located near the Metro and shopping area. From the living room and main bedroom there’s a view of the Temple of Zeus, while the rooftop looks toward the Acropolis on one side and the Temple of Zeus on the other. I’d definitely stay here again when I’m back in Athens.

The property is lovely and centrally located, but the check-out mess was so frustrating that I’d think twice about staying again. The trouble began at check-in, when nobody was there and we had to contact someone to come over with the key. That was manageable. At check-out, we were told a 12:30 late check-out wasn't possible, so we left our bags for them to move to storage and changed our airport pickup to a different address. We left at 9:40 and messaged the guest relations person, ASTERIS, to say we'd collect the bags from storage at 12:30. When we arrived at 12:40, there was no office there. We called ASTERIS and learned the bags were still at the property. Nobody had let us know, even though a quick WhatsApp message or call could have helped us change the pickup again. ASTERIS brushed off my question about why we hadn't been told, saying it was a busy day and luggage storage was a free service. We argued on the phone while waiting to sort out the airport transfer. The storage place and property were 20 minutes apart by car, although about a seven-minute walk. We were already running late, and the thought of walking back to the property and hauling the bags to storage before catching our ride was awful. Thankfully, Harry, another staff member, came and spoke with our driver. The driver contacted his company and was eventually able to take us back to the property for the luggage. We reached the airport late but still caught our flight. This was an unpleasant experience, made worse by ASTERIS. A guest relations person should help resolve a problem instead of arguing to insist on their point.

We stayed four days in Athens and the place worked great for us. There are three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, and the location was hard to beat. John was really helpful and nice. Couldn't have asked for a better apartment, highly recommend.

With a reasonable price and top level comfort, this is a place I'd absolutely return to. It has plenty of room for a big family or a group of friends, and the location is exceptional.
