The White House in Plaka is a beautifully designed, spotless place to stay in Old Athens, with attentive management and an affordable price for what it offers. I've traveled around the world as a filmmaker looking for places to shoot and host my cast, and this is one of the best residences I've come across. It's suited both to someone exploring at an easy pace and to a business traveler looking for a comfortable, convenient base. Credit to the management and design team. I hope I can return soon.

Shopping, restaurants, the post office, transit, nightlife, and The Acropolis are all just a short walk away from this villa. Its central spot, luxurious look, and generous space made our Athens visit feel perfect. It added a little extra magic to a trip we'll remember for a lifetime.

The staff made us feel very welcome, and both the rooms and the surrounding areas were sparkling clean. The location is great, with lovely views of key tourist sites. It was worth every penny. If I could, I'd give it six stars.

We stayed at the White House in Athens on September 23-25, 2018. It seemed like a wonderful home for our group of 11, and the location was great. But that night I got a really severe case of bed bugs. A month after the trip, my legs were still marked and itchy. After prescriptions and visits to my doctor in the US and a local pharmacy, they could only describe it as “super duper, super duper, super duper bad bed bugs.” Four of us had to move to the main living room sofas, which was inconvenient for us and everyone else in the group. When I got home, I had to disinfect my whole suitcase and wardrobe too. I hope the problem has been fixed so nobody else, especially a child, has to deal with this on vacation. A simple apology didn't give back my days of adventure or my once-a-year vacation, and the situation inconvenienced the rest of our group too. That's why I'm writing this.
