We spent three nights in the Acropolis Museum Grand Apartment, right across from the Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis subway station, so getting around was super convenient. The refrigerator had eggs, cheese, and bread for breakfast, and we picked up fruit and vegetables at the nearby grocery store to go with them. I’d booked a different apartment through the company, but after arriving I realized it wouldn’t work for us: my kids were joining later, would be jetlagged, and we needed to be closer to the Acropolis entrance for an early morning visit. I messaged the owner to ask whether anything nearer was available, and within two hours we were in a perfectly located apartment. The three of us had a wonderful time. Fantastic experience with this company in May 2025.

Nikos was a fantastic host. He welcomed me, checked in on me and my guests, and made sure we had what we needed, from food to towels. The place was comfortable, clean, and central, with supermarkets, restaurants, and pharmacies all around. I think I’ve found my new home in Athens, and I’ll definitely book it on my next trips. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Before we arrived, I got 35 messages from the owner in the middle of the night with all the rules and instructions for the apartment. Alcatraz felt like it had fewer rules and was much more flexible, not to mention more welcoming. We spent three nights in Wonderful Apartment in Acropolis, but I wouldn’t stay again in any apartment run by this company. The breakfast was not included, despite the claim. For five people and three mornings, there were only 12 eggs, one pack of ham, one pack of cheese, a litre of milk, half a kilogram of toast bread, five apples, and two bananas. We used it all on the first morning, and when I asked for more for the next day, the owner was very arrogant and refused because I’d missed the 3 pm deadline. It was an absolute disappointment. I wouldn’t recommend it even to my enemies. I’ve stayed in dozens of hotels and apartments in Greece, most of them excellent, and this was undoubtedly the worst.

Nikos, who looked after us, was kind and quick to respond to what we needed. The apartment was lovely, very clean, and just a few minutes’ walk from the Acropolis, Monastiraki, Plaka, and most of the city’s other tourist spots. We had a lovely few days at one of Athens Elegant Apartments, and would certainly stay with them again if we return to Athens.

The customer service was terrible, and the staff were rude and disrespectful to people who had booked. They wouldn’t let you wait in their lobby. If it were me, I wouldn’t waste my money.
