We’ve just come back from two weeks at Villa Manolia, and had an amazing time in a beautiful, spacious villa with very good equipment. We arrived late and were surprised to find a delicious pasta dish, Greek salad, fresh bread and wine waiting for us. The family kept visiting during our stay with Cretan treats, including cheese pies, puddings, cakes and fresh cherries. The villa’s location was perfect. Outside, there are three dining spots, suited to the morning sun, afternoon and evening. Three excellent tavernas serving traditional Greek food at exceptional prices are an easy walk away for quieter nights. Rethymnon is a 10-minute drive for livelier evenings and shopping. We’ve stayed in many villas after hours of searching, and this one is by far the best. Thanks again for all the care throughout our stay. We’ll definitely return.

This place is special. The villa is kept clean and well furnished, and has five bedrooms, an upstairs sun terrace, a large living area, a good-sized kitchen, an excellent BBQ terrace, a first-rate pool and an outdoor dining area. There’s also a carport for two cars, a games room, a laundry room and an olive grove to explore. A five-minute walk up the road takes you to the Village of Prines, with three first-rate tavernas and a local store. The breeze from the sea and the pool offer a welcome break from the daytime heat.

The pool was wonderful, and the view was huge and beautiful. We booked through Airbnb and had the most amazing stay. We were so sad when it was time to leave. Make sure you go to the local taverna, The Olive!
