Lido Corfu Sun Hotel

We’d read some harsh reviews before our trip and worried, but our experience didn’t bear them out. This was just what we expected from a straightforward, traditional Greek hotel. The rooms were bright and clean, ours had a sea view, and friendly staff serviced it daily. WiFi worked well throughout. The pool area is excellent, with a well-kept pool and plenty of loungers under canopies for shade during the hottest hours. The beach is pebbly. There’s also a courtesy bus three times a day to Benitses and onward to Corfu town, which is useful if you want to explore. The hotel is somewhat isolated, and there isn’t much for children. The road is walkable for adults but busy. Food choice is more limited than at an upscale all-inclusive, but there was a good mix, with plenty of salads, grilled meat, vegetables, and fish. Breakfast was good too. Restaurant staff were polite and helpful. One particularly lovely man in the outdoor breakfast area chatted with us about our travels in Greece. If you expect a permanent representative on site and premium drinks, this probably isn’t the place, though the prices aren’t premium either.

Dora at the front desk made things easy and paid close attention to what we needed. Thanks as well to Tuedor at the minibar, Abdul in the breakfast kitchen, everyone in the dining area, the cleaning ladies, and the garden man for their kind service. It’s a beautiful hotel in a convenient spot, and the staff were all so pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Thank you, everyone.

The location was brilliant, and the shuttle bus was a great help. Our room and the rest of the hotel were immaculate, the food was lovely, and the staff were friendly. Thanks to everyone for a fantastic stay.

The sea view rooms are lovely to sit out in, with stunning views. The hotel is clean, and the staff are amazing, always going above and beyond. The food is good quality. There’s a handy shuttle to the next town, plus a bus stop just a few feet away where an all-day pass costs €5. The small things that let this gem down are the alcohol, which isn’t great, and the lack of ice cream.
