Rio Grande Rooms

Rio Grande Rooms was wonderful. This was my second stay, and I still think it's the best place to stay in Benitses, with the best host. Thanks, Maria!

We were really happy with our ten-day stay in early October. It's a cozy, affordable place in Benitses, with clean rooms, a comfortable bed and pillows. Linen and towels were changed often, though you can ask for fewer changes. Our balcony had a nice view, and the area was quiet compared with the main street. The beach, pool, restaurants and mountain hiking trails were all close by. The room had a fridge, kettle, hairdryer, air conditioning and a TV, which we didn't use. Maria, the hostess, is kind and helpful. You can ask her for plates, a corkscrew or extra towels, and she may even share grapes from her garden. The place looked just like the Google photos, and it was lovely to have cats around too. We'd gladly stay again.

Maria and her mother made us feel very welcome and were happy to help whenever we needed anything. The room was spotless, and they tidied it and changed the towels regularly. It's also well placed, just a couple of minutes on foot from the town's beaches and tavernas. I highly recommend it.

The garden is beautiful, and the accommodation is clean and quaint, right beside a pool guests can use. Maria and Barbara, who own the place and hosted us, went out of their way to make me feel welcome. As a woman travelling alone, I've finally found my secret getaway. It feels like home. I'm so grateful to both of them, and it was a pleasure meeting you both.
