A pretty standard motel, and I’ve got nothing to complain about. It’s outside Chania but in a good spot, with enough around that you don’t feel stranded. The rooms are on the small side, with a bed, mini fridge, a couple of nightstands, and a little vanity.

The atmosphere was so nice, and the staff were super friendly and made us feel happy. Hotel Alkion is basic, but it has what you need for a holiday, including a pool. The location is great too. Five stars from us, and a good choice for budget travellers!

Manolos and his lovely family were always smiling and ready to help with whatever we needed. The beds were comfy, the air-conditioning worked well, and there was a fridge with a freezer box. The hotel is dated, but it’s a lovely, peaceful little place, with great bars and restaurants right nearby and the beach just two minutes away. I didn’t want to leave and would gladly come back.

Thanks to the front desk guy for being so kind and helpful with his advice. I think his name was Millanos.

The breakfast was outstanding, and the beach bar food was fabulous too. I highly recommend this amazing hotel, with its beautiful beach and pool area.
