Katerina, who runs this lovely place, is fantastic. The rooms are tidy, clean, and have great air conditioning. It's an affordable place right in the old town of Chania In Crete, and a perfect base if you're planning to spend your days out exploring Crete. The location is exceptionally convenient.

The location was the only good part. Our room was filthy: coffee stains from the first day remained until we left, there were fingerprints on the windows, and I found blood on my pillow. The balcony was unusable because of the smell and water dripping from the gutters, and the balcony door wouldn't open properly. We were told the room had been renovated, but most of the facilities were old and there was damp on the walls.
The stovetops couldn't even heat water for coffee, and the dishes still had food on them. The toilet was dirty, and damp patches marked the ceiling in a room that was supposedly renovated. We couldn't use the balcony because of the smell from the gutters serving all the floors above us. We reported all of it, but the staff showed no interest. I've never stayed in a dirtier room, and the service was nonexistent.
