We had a fantastic weekend with our group of 19. The villa is beautiful, spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a quiet setting where we didn’t need to worry about disturbing the neighbors with our own noise. We arranged catering, a private bar and a photographer for our special occasion, and the villa’s team helped make it all run smoothly. They were great throughout the planning and shared useful local suggestions too. Thanks for the warm welcome and easy communication. We really hope to return.

The large garden and picturesque look of the house were appealing, and it’s definitely the sort of place that photographs well. But some details felt poorly thought out and not very ergonomic, as though nobody had lived there long enough to figure out how to make it work well. For example, the faucet and basin in the top-floor bathroom are too far apart, so water splashes when the faucet is turned on. The basement-floor bathroom also flooded. We were six couples, and the bedrooms weren’t all the same quality, so some people had to sleep in the basement room with no window. The house is a 20-minute drive from the beach.

The owner was so hospitable. He welcomed us on our first day and brought Cretan figs and other homemade Cretan food during our stay. The property management staff were amazing too, always available and helpful. We spent about two weeks at Villa Fuerte in Chania, and it was one of our family’s most enjoyable holidays. There’s lots of green space around the beautiful, spacious villa, with a picturesque view of a green mountain. The kids had a playground, and there was also a nice pool, outdoor gym and ping-pong table. Downtown Chania is only a 20-minute drive away. I highly recommend it for families with kids or a larger group of friends, up to 16 people.

We spent 14 nights at Villa Fuerte in Chania, and it was a perfect stay. The place has everything you need, with a spacious, clean, modern interior and a huge outdoor area. There’s an incredible pool, a gym, a great kids’ area and lots of room to run around. Every bedroom has a TV, and our kids were so happy in their amazing room. You could spend your whole holiday at the villa and never get bored, even though it’s just 20 minutes from town. The owner came by regularly to check on us and even brought us a home-cooked meal from his mother. I can’t recommend the villa enough.

We had a lovely time at this big house surrounded by nature. It had everything we needed, including a pool and ping-pong table, and we really enjoyed the natural setting.
