We loved the home and its neighborhood, especially waking up next door to a cool Coffee House. Crete turned out to be much larger than we expected from our earlier trips to other Greek islands, but our base kept us fairly close to all the wedding festivities. It was our first visit to Crete for a destination wedding, and we weren’t sure which area to choose, so taking a chance worked out really well. If we return to Crete, we’ll come back to this beautiful place.

We were 10 people and a baby, and the house plus studio gave us plenty of room. They connect through the patio, where we had breakfast because it got less sun. There’s also a nice balcony that worked well for dinner. The kitchen and bedrooms were fully equipped, and every bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. The sliding doors inside the rooms mean those bathrooms aren’t very private, though, and the water pressure can’t handle more than two or three showers at once. The location is great: street parking was easy, and downtown is a 20-30 minute walk.

The veranda was a favorite, especially for late drinks with good company, though it’s also great for breakfast. Parking was easy to find, even right outside the main entrance, and the property manager was very helpful and available whenever we called. The place is spotless and spacious, with design and decor that can match or even surpass a new five-star hotel. For friends or families staying in Chania, this is excellent value.
