The Thirty8 Heritage House

We spent a week at Heritage House in Chania in early July and had a wonderful time. Our flight arrival was very late on Saturday night, but Spyrangelos, the owner and host, happily waited for us, welcomed us warmly and shared recommendations for the week tailored to what we wanted. We stayed in the green room, with its own terrace overlooking the pool, a lovely spot for breakfast outside or relaxing before going out. The room and facilities were excellent, and daily housekeeping was much appreciated. Since it's private accommodation and not a large hotel, the pool area stayed peaceful. There were sometimes one or two other guests to chat with, or Spyrangelos, but it never felt busy or overwhelming. He was attentive and available all week, advised us on day trips to Elafionissi Beach and Knossos & Heraklion, and we were grateful for his help. We booked both trips through the also-excellent Elafonissos Travel, which we've reviewed too. He also arranged our taxi back to the airport. Heritage House added to a very enjoyable trip, and we'll try to book again if we return. I'll recommend it to anyone I hear is heading to Chania. Thanks again, Spyrangelos & team 💚

The host and his father welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home as soon as we arrived. The place itself is beautiful, and I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone after a memorable stay. What a wonderful visit!

Spyrangelos, the owner, was gracious and very polite. Our ferry arrived at 6AM, and we're grateful he let us check in super early and leave a little later as well. The old mansion has been restored beautifully and now operates as an upscale boutique hotel. Thank you!

The location worked perfectly for us arriving by car, right by the old city and with 0 problems to Park. I'd definitely recommend this apartament. It's a charming place with history, a beautiful ottoman building that's been recently renovated while keeping all its ancient elements and adding new facilities. Our room was large, spotless and had a lovely private terrace. The owner , Angelo was incredible with us. He let us check in earlier and gave us great tips for meals and good beaches.
