We loved meeting Stavos, the owner. He was always happy to answer questions and offer advice, and the treats he left in the fridge made us feel at home. The apartment is right in the heart of Chania’s old town, on the main square, where we could enjoy the balcony. The frappe maker and coffee machine were great to have in the well-equipped kitchen. It’s a lovely, newly renovated place with tasteful design and lots of room. The air-conditioning made it a comfortable retreat from the heat. There are two full bathrooms, a washing machine, and a cute little patio where everything dried quickly. We’ve already recommended it to our family and will definitely stay again.

What makes the apartment feel special is the owner’s personal connection to it. He shared a story about its history, and there’s real heart in the way he rents it out. He was genuinely interested in what we wanted to see and do, and gave us great recommendations. Chania stays can be pricey and cramped, but Casa Irene gave us space to spread out. We had views over lovely Platia Athinagora, the piazza, and the church opposite. The apartment was well equipped with a nice kitchen and comfortable bed. The fridge was stocked with plenty of water, drinks, and food for breakfast and Greek salads, more than we could finish, which we really appreciated.

The port is only a two-minute walk away, and the house is beautiful and comfortable, right in the old town. The owner was incredibly hospitable and helpful. I highly recommend staying here!
