Casa Veneziana

Spiro and Artemis were caring, helpful hosts who made the place feel like a home away from home. This Venetian house has lovely old-world character alongside modern amenities, and it was a fabulous stay in one of Greece’s most beautiful old towns. It’s one of the nicest rental homes I’ve stayed in over many years of travel.

Watching Chania wake up from the windows was one of my favorite memories. The shops and restaurants on the pedestrian street below were getting ready for the day, and the sounds and sights felt special to this spot. I also loved the entrance door with its little window, and had fun asking my son to guess what the antique ice box was. See my photos. The house is a beautifully furnished historic Venetian home in the heart of the Old Venetian Port town. Staying in the middle of this gorgeous, fairytale-like place felt like a dream, especially since historic walled cities are among my favorite and most romantic places to visit. The architectural details, thoughtful touches, and wonderful hospitality made it a dream location, and it has modern conveniences like A/C. Artemis and Spiros were superb hosts. Their ground-floor shop has beautiful women's resort wear and gifts. I bought clothes, jewelry, and a hat from the beautiful Anastasia Store, and they’re some of my favorite pieces. See photo. The host was friendly and attentive, which made everything easy. The place was clean, comfortable, and unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed. Its unusual charm and thoughtful design gave the building so much character. I had a fantastic, relaxing stay and would highly recommend it.

Chania’s Old Town location is hard to beat. Casa veneziana sits among charming boutiques and great restaurants, with Greek music drifting up from the street below. The house is spacious and incredibly comfortable, with breathtaking beauty and authentic Venetian charm. Our hosts were warm, welcoming, and always available when we needed anything. It made for a wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a bit of magic in Chania.
