The room was simple and bright, with clean lines, soft colors, and just enough detail to feel thoughtfully arranged. I slept comfortably, the air conditioning kept things cool, and the little balcony looked onto the narrow street below. Elia Daliani Suites is quiet, without much flash, and that’s part of its charm. It’s a restful base in the heart of Chania, where you can pause before heading back into the old town. The hotel sits on Daliani Street, close enough to the harbor for a breeze but away from the crowds. Cafés, bakeries, and the neighborhood’s morning bustle are right outside, and the Venetian harbor, market, and back-alley shops are a short walk away. Service was warm but unobtrusive. Everything was clean and worked as it should.

The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was nice, but I didn’t like having to go to a different building for check-in and breakfast. We hadn’t realized check-in was separate from the building with our room. That room was in an alley lined with restaurant tables in the evening, where people ate and partied until 4 a.m. Our bedroom window was closed but faced the street, and it was impossible to sleep.
