Fileas Art

We stayed as a couple and the room lived up to all our expectations. It felt welcoming, was very clean, and had really cool decor. There was complimentary water and a fizzy drink in the fridge, too. The accommodation is on a lovely square that gives you a feel for the Old Town. We’d definitely choose it again.

Eleni made us feel so welcome, and the room was spotless, spacious, and cozy, with coffee ready to make. Fileas Art Hotel is right in central Chania, so getting around was easy. We had a fantastic stay!

We found a good public parking spot on Nikiforou Foka, opposite the East Moat Theatre. It’s about 800 metres from the hotel, with a flat walk on good streets for most of the way. The last 50 metres or so on Chalidon are cobbled and slightly sloped, but that was no problem. Parking around here is a nightmare. The hotel itself was a very comfortable base for exploring Chania’s old port. Though for an art hotel, I expected to see more art on the walls.

The air con was a little noisy, and you could hear people outside until around 11. Still, it was a great, huge room with a lovely big bathroom and a fridge that came in handy for cold drinks. I’d come back.
