Kumba has a relaxed feel, with a couple of small lounges and lots of outdoor seating. There's a cafe and a bar too. I've stayed here before and think it's a great hostel. The staff are pleasant and efficient, and nothing seems too much trouble. It also doesn't have signs everywhere telling guests what not to do. Keeping that balance takes good management. The private rooms are nicely decorated, and there's a supermarket next door. The old town is a bit of a walk but doable. Good value for the money. The bed sheets could be cleaner.

Kumba Hostel feels more like a community than just somewhere to sleep. The atmosphere is relaxed, social, and welcoming, with friendly staff who are happy to share local tips or have a chat. I found the common areas cozy and there were plenty of spots to relax or meet other travelers. My room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed. The beach, good cafes, and local places are nearby too. I had an amazing stay and will definitely return.

I felt safe and really enjoyed my time here. The dorms, bathrooms, and kitchen were clean, and the vibe and conditions were fabulous. Staff were super friendly and helpful. You can easily walk to the city or the beach.

The shared spaces are huge, both indoors and outdoors, and the kitchen is great. I stayed about a week and was very comfortable. The blinds made the space feel quite private. The staff are incredibly friendly and nice.
