We loved how peaceful and beautiful the setting was, even better than we expected. Each of the three accommodations has its own private pool, and we enjoyed sitting beside ours with a glass of wine or relaxing on our private terrace. The guest house is charming and has good wifi. Danai, the owner of Metohi Kindelis, and her small team were helpful and attentive throughout. They brought us plenty of delicious food for breakfast and snacks. We also recommend ordering a dinner basket and cooking for yourself. We weren't sure about the location at first. If you want to be right in the middle of Chania's activity, it's a bit out of the way. We wanted a mix of bustle and quiet, so we rented a car for a couple of days and otherwise took taxis into town. They cost about ten euros and took 10-15 minutes, and there's an app for booking them. We highly recommend Metohi Kindelis. The natural surroundings, pool and local historical architecture, a Venetian Villa, made us think fondly of one of our favorite lodges, Sala Lodges in Cambodia. It was comfortable without being super luxurious.
