Bring a car, since there’s no other way to get to and from this villa. That’s the one thing that kept me from giving the location a full star rating. Otherwise, the hillside setting above Nerokouros has a spectacular view over Chania and the bay. The pool is superb, and there are lots of lovely spots around the property to eat, lounge, and enjoy the scenery. It’s fully air-conditioned, with a roomy main bedroom and three other separate bedrooms that are more than adequate. The villa is lavishly equipped. The local Nerokouros store is at most a five-minute drive for basics; Lidl and a supermarket are under 15 minutes away, and Chania is about 20 minutes away. The owners, including George, live in a completely separate area below the property. They’re easy to reach for requests, but otherwise hardly noticeable.
