Porto Veneziano Hotel

We loved sitting on our balcony at night, looking out over the Venetian harbor and lighthouse. Our room had a sea view and a balcony, and breakfast was an amazing spread. You can eat outside by the harbor, too. The staff were very friendly and the service was wonderful. The hotel is right by the harbor, within walking distance of many restaurants and tour company tents selling different tours. The rooms are a bit small, so we had to fit in two large suitcases and two handbags, but that’s Europe, and you can’t expect large rooms. It’s not too far from Chania airport. A wonderful hotel in a wonderful location, and I definitely recommend it if you’re in Crete.

As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe here. The hotel is well located, close to lovely restaurants and shops, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d booked a sea view double room with a balcony, but got upgraded to an amazing suite. Breakfast had plenty of choice, with delicious cold and hot dishes cooked to order. I had a wonderful stay at Porto Veneziano, and I’ll definitely return when I visit Crete next September.

I had a lovely harbor view from my room, and there was no better way to begin and end the day. The food and breakfast were excellent, with a great variety and outstanding quality each day. I spent seven wonderful days at Hotel Porto Veneziano this week, and the team made the experience special. The staff were warm, friendly, and always helpful. They answered every question kindly and professionally and took care of every wish. I felt welcome from the very first moment. I’ll gladly return and can highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Chania.

I arrived at midnight after I couldn’t rest at a nearby hotel because of loud nightclub music. This was the only hotel with a 24/7 reception. The room was quiet and clean, and breakfast was a great Greek spread with plenty of options. The aircon was too hot because I couldn’t adjust its mode.
