Rodon Hotel

The rooms stayed comfortable temperature-wise, and they had thoughtful extras like toothbrushes, a big TV, and electronic controls. We had rooms with pool views, while my older parents also had a sea view. The garden was lovely, everything was clean, and staff welcomed us warmly. There was always parking available. We all had a great stay and will definitely come back.

The bar was a highlight, especially the incredible balcony view, and John was fantastic. The pool was clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our four nights. Our room was good and cleaned every day. Breakfast had a nice range of food and drinks. There are cats around the hotel, so keep that in mind if you have allergies.

The cats around the property are cared for so sweetly. I noticed little water bowls in different spots, marked “Water, please?”, which felt like a lovely reminder to help them in the summer heat. As someone who loves animals, that really touched me, and the staff were kind and discreet too. Rodon Hotel has a peaceful feel, with a well-kept garden and a clean pool for relaxing. Breakfast is included, with a varied buffet and plenty of plant-based milk options, which I appreciated. It’s close to Chania’s center while also being a good base for exploring Crete’s beaches, including some lesser-known ones. A refined, quiet place with plenty of heart. Highly recommended.

There’s a bus right outside, and it costs just 2.50. The airport is close too, though taxis can be expensive. Getting into the main town takes about 35 minutes on foot, and the walk back is uphill.
