Mr Yannis was very helpful while we were booking, with information and suggestions. Our room was spotless, big enough, and had a huge bed and two sofas, along with all the amenities of a hotel. I’d absolutely look to stay there again if I visit Chania.

The photos actually match what you get, which was a pleasant surprise for Greece. There’s no parking, though during low season I managed to find a spot on the street outside every night. The rooms are big and modern, with comfortable large beds, air conditioning and plenty of hot water. It’s quiet, reasonably priced, and just a one minute walk to the old town. I’d gladly stay again.

The apartment is on a busy street, so sleeping with the windows open means putting up with the noise. With them shut, we were left with the heat. The air conditioning only works when all the doors and windows are closed, apparently those throughout the whole city, because shutting ours made no difference at all. Even if you do get it working, opening the bathroom door to use the toilet makes it stop, and closing the door doesn’t get it going again. I told the owner on the first night and was told it had been fixed. After three sleepless nights, the problem was still there.
