Dimitris Hotel

We came back for another lovely two weeks. Our room faced the olive groves and forest, with great views, and the hotel was spotless throughout. The owners and staff were warm and ready to help, always with a smile. The large pool was clean and a lovely place to unwind. There are pizzas and toasties available, plus a big fridge stocked with beer, wine and water. It’s on a road, but the traffic didn’t bother us and nights were quiet. The beach, tavernas and shops are all a short walk away. A great choice for a restful holiday, and I’d happily recommend it.

Golden Beach, restaurants and supermarkets are all just a couple of blocks away, so everything we needed was close by. My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at Dimitri’s Hotel. The rooms, lobby and pool were clean and nicely maintained, and breakfast was delicious with something different each day. Every employee was welcoming and kind. We’d definitely return if we’re back in Thassos.

I’m the Greek woman mentioned in the Finnish woman’s bad review, and I was very unlucky to have a room near that family. For five nights I put up with her adult children drinking, smoking substances, shouting and keeping everyone up until 3 a.m. The owners asked them to quiet down, but they ignored them. On the sixth night I asked for the police to be called. The rude man from Finland was very sarcastic to the officers. The policeman was kind, but eventually told him, “You are not welcome here with such bad behaviour.” I give myself five stars for my patience, and the hotel owner five stars for having to tolerate people like this. They ruined my holiday. Someone should teach that lady and her rude family some manners. Hotels are for sleeping at night, so go to the bars. Greek law sets quiet hours after 23:00, and it was posted all over the hotel. They knew and still chose not to respect it. Enough is enough. If they don’t like Greek rules, they should stay in their own country.

Everything was perfect, and I’ll be back. I recommend it! The one bad part wasn’t the hotel’s fault: a family from FINLAND was drunk, rude and noisy until 3 in the morning. The owners had to call the police, and the family was rude to them too. A real shame on Finnish people.
