Hotel Olga

We had a really enjoyable stay and would consider coming back. The place is quiet, and the sound of crickets is bliss. It’s close to the beach, shops, and restaurants, and offers good value compared with other apartments in San Stefanos at the same or higher price, especially since it has a pool. We went in July and the pool was quiet, often with just us swimming. Someone was usually at the bar during the day to serve food and drinks, but it closes in the evening, so it won’t suit anyone wanting a bar open around the clock. The apartment was basic, like most in the area, but had what we needed, including a cooker, hob, and toaster. Bins and linen were changed weekly, though we could put bags out earlier ourselves or contact the staff. One set of towels was new and shed fibres because it was too fluffy, but the others were fine.

Agios Stefanos is a lovely place for a family holiday, with a beautiful beach, friendly people, and a relaxed, not-too-busy feel. There are also several pools by the beach where you can swim for free. We had a fantastic time and I’d definitely return. Aristoula was very friendly and helpful whenever something came up. The apartment suited us for a summer stay, since we didn’t spend much time indoors. The bedrooms were dark and quiet, so we slept well, the beds were fine, the air conditioning worked really well, and the rooms were clean. We had enough towels and could ask for extras. The only thing we missed was a safe. The pool bar was closed, but we didn’t mind bringing our own drinks. For a quick snack, dinner, or a swim, the neighboring apartment Kouros was another option. The location is ideal, just a few minutes from the beach and restaurants. The furniture and kitchen are dated and could use renovation, but given the price, we weren’t expecting much luxury.

Aristoula was so helpful, and the family-run hotel was lovely. Our room was always fresh and clean. We enjoyed having breakfast by the pool, and she even arranged an airport transfer with her cousin driving, which was much better than taking a long coach trip.

We had a wonderful holiday, and many thanks to the owners. The pool was lovely and quiet, and the food and drinks were delicious and available until early evening. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and very nice. They’re basic, as are self-catering apartments in San Stefanos, but we’d definitely return.
