Arion Hotel Corfu

We had the perfect holiday here. It's a quiet location, with the centre of Corfu a short 1.3 mile walk away. There's also a bus three times an hour, and the stop is just down the road from the hotel.

The bed was fine, and I appreciated having a fridge and air con in the room. It's also close to the airport. But I felt exhausted before a very long travel day because it was so noisy. The fridge ran all night, I could hear everything in the corridor, people arriving at 1am and dragging their bags, then cleaning staff making noise and taking loud calls at 7am. The bathroom smelled bad and was very old. There are almost no facilities near the hotel, so I had to walk half an hour to the main town to find a pharmacy. At reception, the staff were rude and ignored me for a good two minutes while finishing their conversation, without even saying, “one moment please.”

I didn't stay the night, but the staff were so kind to me. Great spot, very close to a beautiful forest and beach. There's a lovely cat too :)

Being a 20 minute walk from the airport was helpful, and the view was nice. The rooms felt very outdated and weren't especially comfortable. There was no shampoo or conditioner, and I found hairs in the shower tub. Breakfast was okay, but items weren't restocked often enough, so I had to wait for glasses and buffet food.
