Azalea Houses

We spent eight nights at Azalea and had such a wonderful time. Finikia is charming and has a lovely sea view, with far fewer crowds than the island’s more popular spots. Oia is under five minutes away by car, and Fira is about fifteen minutes, with an incredible view along the drive. Our Deluxe Cave villa was beautiful, tastefully decorated, and practical too. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Nikos welcomed us warmly, and his helpers were efficient and discreet. We can’t wait to return 😊

The old winery apartment at Azalea houses was spacious and really distinctive. It’s in a pleasant, less crowded area, a little walk from the center of Santorini and not far from a bus stop. The owner and porter were so helpful throughout, sharing tips and sorting taxis. They even helped us get back some artwork we’d accidentally left behind. My girlfriend and I had a great stay and would definitely recommend it. Five stars!

The honeymoon villa was gorgeous, spacious, clean, and tidied every day. The soaking pool was a welcome break from the heat. Nikos and Cristos were both lovely and helpful, and Nikos took time to go over an island map with us and offer several useful suggestions. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it. You can walk to Oia, and there are a few good restaurants up the hill. For exploring the southern part of the island, I’d suggest renting a car. There is a local bus, but it was very crowded and didn’t always run on time.

The hosts, Nikos and Kostas, were exceptionally kind and helpful. We loved staying in this apartment, converted from an old wine cellar, in a village about a 15-minute walk from Oia. From the platform you see the Aegean Sea rather than the Caldera, but it’s still a lovely view and the area is away from the crowds and bustle. I’d recommend it if a Caldera view isn’t essential.
