Villa Sevdas

A wonderful experience ❤

We had a wonderful holiday here. The friendly family gave us a warm welcome and all sorts of homemade snacks. The villa is beautiful, clean, and well cared for, with everything you need in the house. The pool was lovely and cleaned every other day, early in the morning. Highly recommended for a great stay in Crete!

The yard was a big hit with the kids, and even those who can’t swim had fun splashing around in the shallow end. There’s plenty of space for eight, with an air source heat pump and its own balcony in every bedroom. Everything works, and all services are within walking distance. Since the villa is on the main road, though, having a car is best for getting around.

We had to change our original accommodation because of problems there, and the family running Villa Sevdas welcomed us at the last minute. They’re warm hosts who respect your privacy but are always ready to help. Harris did most of the talking, since his English is perfect. His mom is cheerful and openhearted, and his dad was always friendly. There were treats and snacks for dinner when we arrived, and she had even done some shopping. His dad left little surprises, like fresh tomatoes and pears, after watering the lawn in the morning. Our 1.5-year-old son loved the villa, with all its space inside and out, plus a playground with a slide and swing. Once he was asleep, we could have dinner in the outdoor kitchen, which has a barbecue and pizza oven. The pool was a pleasant temperature and felt very private. The area was quiet, with charming villages and the sea within driving distance. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed, including a great fridge. There’s also a machine for purified water. If we go to Crete again, we’ll definitely return. The hosts have a special place in our hearts. Thanks for a lovely holiday, and hopefully see you again 😊
