Manthos and Georgia made us feel so welcome, treating us like family and serving everything with love and laughter. Georgia's homemade food was delicious, and this lovely family business felt special from the start. The rooms were spotless. Thank you, Manthos, and thank you, Georgia, for everything you did for us. We had delicious food and friendly service, and the owner was always ready to help. It's a great spot for a family holiday spent relaxing by the wonderful pool. If you plan to get out and explore, though, renting a car would be better.

We only booked New Kydonia at the last minute, so we weren't sure what to expect. By the end of our six nights at the start of July, my boyfriend and I had fallen in love with it and were already planning to return. Lisa and her family were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their recommendations helped make our holiday perfect. Everyone on staff was friendly and so helpful. Our apartment was huge, very clean, and had everything we needed. From the balcony we could see the ocean and Chania, and the air conditioning was a real relief after days in the Cretan sunshine. The pool area was beautiful and clean, with a lovely pool for a quick cool-down swim. The bar served food and snacks, plus the BEST tequila sunrises. We also enjoyed a couple of very nice coffees there in the mornings. We're so grateful for such a great stay and can't wait to come back. Thank you!!!!

We spent about ten days here in August, and it made a great base for seeing Crete. From the resort on the hill in Daratsos, the ocean views were amazing, and the gardens, pool, and bar were lovely. The rooms were simple, clean, spacious, and had a small kitchenette. Lisa and her family helped with whatever we needed; she arranged our airport taxi and car hire at reasonable prices. Nikos Tavern is a five-minute walk away. The resort is about 10kms from Chania, and a car is recommended for exploring the island, though there's also a bus every hour, with the stop a five-minute walk away. For such a little slice of paradise, it was very well priced. If we're lucky enough to visit Crete again, I'd gladly stay here. Thank you, Lisa, for looking after us.
