Nikos Hotel

The family running this hotel welcomes you warmly and gives useful tips for making the most of your time in Diafani. Breakfast is included, plentiful, and delicious, with lovely lemon jam made by Nikos' wife. Nikos captains a boat for unforgettable excursions. An ideal place to stay.

The owners were so friendly and welcoming that I felt at home from the start. My room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious in a warm, pleasant atmosphere. Nikos Hotel is a charming place, and I’d gladly return.

We first stayed here twenty-one years ago and have kept coming back ever since. The hotel sits high up, with a beautiful view of Diafani and the sea. This year the room was renovated, and the bathroom and little kitchen are very nice. The owners are friendly and always ready to help with anything. Maria is especially adorable.

The hosts, Maria and Manolis, were kind and always tried to help when we asked for something. They also had good tips. Diafani is quiet, with little traffic, and the beach, tavernas, ferryboats, and minimarket are all easy to reach on foot. It’s a nice family business and a good starting point for beautiful hikes. We had a bright, airy corner room, No.6, small but adequate, with a tiny fridge that was really cold. They gave us an electric kettle when we asked. The bathroom was very small, but the shower was hot and good. Everything was very clean, with daily cleaning and fresh linen and towels every few days, which was nice in the heat. The large corner balcony let us sit in the shade most of the time, with a lovely view across the small village of Diafani to the sea, mountains, and sunrise. Breakfast was an okay buffet and included in the room rate. Storage was a bit limited because our room was too small for a closet. The building also isn't well soundproofed, so at times we could hear other hotel guests. Good value for money, and we’d definitely like to come back.
