We only stayed one night, and hope there's a room for us next time we're in Athens. Our room was small but nice, with its own bathroom and little balcony. Dimitris and his mother Majka welcomed us warmly and were available for our requests. For a small extra charge, breakfast in the garden under the trees was plentiful enough: coffee or tea, egg, feta, bread, ham and cheese toast, orange juice, and Greek yogurt. They can also accommodate personal needs such as vegetarian food. The hotel is a few minutes from the metro, with restaurants a short way across Vouliagmenis Avenue.

A quiet neighborhood and a new playground nearby made for a pleasant stay, and I'd stay here again. We booked through Priceline, so we barely dealt with the owners. There's no sign outside the building, but the name is in small letters by the doorbell at the top of the stairs.

The owners were lovely. They brought us homemade wine on our last night and even washed some of my clothes. The location is handy, within walking distance of Coffee Academy, where we had very good breakfasts twice, and close to the new metro station. The space has a nice IKEA style, though it doesn't get much natural light, and the bathroom ceiling is very low, so I wouldn't recommend it for particularly tall people. My biggest issue was the mattress, which was uncomfortable and very squeaky. I expected something better given how nice the room looked.

It's close to pubs and restaurants, though you have to cross a main road to reach them. A taxi to the acropolis costs €10, and the lovely breakfast is only €5 per person. The place is nice and clean, with friendly people, air conditioning, and a good shower. My only complaint is that it needs an outside sign so it's easier to find.

We had a wonderful three-night stay at this local place in a safe neighborhood, run by a Greek family. Majka, the mother, made a wonderful dinner with local produce. The rooms are cozy and the wifi is good. There's a grocery shop about 5-7 minutes away on foot, along with restaurants and Greek tavernas. Dimitris is very friendly and suggested lots of nice places to see in the city centre.
