There are some real positives: the view is beautiful, a few staff members were friendly, and breakfast came with fresh juice and local pastries. But we cut our family holiday short after a family emergency and a suite that didn't match what we'd been sold. The owner responded with aggression and what felt like outrageous threats. Our party of eight plus a small baby was given a room with four single beds squeezed into a space that doubled as kitchen, living room, and dining room. That wasn't the suite shown online, nor was it a suitable size. The showers seemed improperly installed, wiring was loose, and some chairs looked ready to collapse. The facilities felt poorly maintained, and the price was far too high for what we got. Read the reviews carefully and make up your own mind. I wouldn't trust the local guide reviews, which seemed like cheap attempts to repair the place's reputation. If second rate accommodation is what you're after, this may suit you.

The rooms might have been nice when they were new, but they're in poor shape now. I could barely stay in mine because it wasn't hypoallergenic, despite the hotel's email confirmation that it would be. Staff brushed off my complaints and even picked an aggressive argument with me. We got food poisoning after breakfast, so we skipped the à la carte menu. It was overpriced anyway. The bar wasn't really a bar, just a bench staffed by people who acted like they knew about alcohol and cocktails but didn't seem to. Don't expect to speak a language other than Greek, and even that was difficult for some employees. Their marketing is the only thing they do well. One of my worst hotel stays, and I strongly wouldn't recommend it. Better to sleep in a black tent under the full sun.

We spent five lovely nights here. The place is quiet and rural, so having a car is a must, though it was nice to have the option of eating at the hotel. Breakfasts were lovely and local, and you could get Greek iced coffee whenever you wanted. One morning we watched the sunrise from our terrace. The views are great, the pool area is lovely, and there's a rocky beach nearby. Staff and owners were friendly, too. Before we came, some of the reviews had me worried about a difficult owner and shabby outdoor areas, but that wasn't our experience. The owner was sweet, and the hotel seemed well looked after. I'd recommend it.

The views are spectacular, the staff apart from the aggressive owner were sweet and helpful, and the air conditioning in the double room was quiet and worked really well. Breakfast was decent, especially the spanakopita, and the place was clean. Still, the poor upkeep and misleading website made it hard to enjoy. It's such a shame, because this place could be amazing. What we were sold wasn't what we found. The website showed sparkling pools, but the saltwater was murky. It pictured a deck by the sea, though there was no deck or way to swim from the coast. Around the property there was bare wiring, plywood by the pools, peeling concrete, and reinforcing rods showing through one section of floor. Several chairs were held together with cable ties. The lower areas smelled faintly of sewage. In our room, some sockets didn't work, and the double-room toilet flushed with a rubber tube and clothes peg. The first cot wouldn't stay up; when they found a working one, they had no sheets that fit. We needed rooms for a large party at short notice and were told the suite had two rooms and a lounge and was comfortable for six adults. It wasn't. Four adults had to share one small room, and these were the only rooms available. We left because the place wasn't as described. The owner threatened to call the police twice and was incredibly aggressive, even malevolent, I'd say. A family emergency meant I had to leave quickly. I paid for a day we didn't use, splitting the difference, because we needed to get to Athens and catch a flight home urgently. Not sure where the 'local guides' were staying.
