Irina and her family were so friendly and helpful, and the family atmosphere made us feel very comfortable. We loved the quiet countryside, and the beach was only a few minutes away. Our balcony looked out over the sea, so we had breakfast there every day. Thank you all for such a memorable stay!
Matala is just around the corner, and Heraklion airport is only an hour away by car. The family running the hotel are amazing, and they have lots of connections to exotic beaches. If you’re after a real holiday, this is the area to visit.
We spent a week there in July 2021. It’s small, clean, lovely, and close to the sea. It was a pleasure meeting Theo, Irini and Michalis, they’re Superhosts!!!
The owners were cordial and the place was clean, which earns it three stars from me. I don’t see the appeal of giving it four or five, though, since it lacks charm. The air conditioner was loud and partly broken, and sitting on the balcony was no use because it was too hot and the air conditioner at the back was noisy too. Still, it may be one of the better options nearby, as the other hotels don’t look much more promising.
Theo, his family and the staff were kind and helpful in every way. Thank you for the wonderful accommodation and hospitality. We’re already looking forward to visiting Kalamaki, Crete again.
