We’ve been renting apartments from Eleni for years and are always happy with them. They’re all clean and have fully equipped kitchens. The terraces look out over the Mesara plateau, and her lovely garden is a pleasure to see. I can only recommend spending your holiday here!

The house is spacious and beautiful, with a small yard, balcony, and fully equipped kitchen. A family can stay here comfortably, and the village is less than a ten-minute walk away. It’s also close to the Minoan palace of Phaistos, about an eight-minute drive, with other places of interest and beaches not far away. Mrs Helen, the landlady, is polite, friendly, and hospitable. A great place to stay.

Kritamos has become a full experience for us, and our kids have always thought of it as their favorite place from childhood, even though we’ve traveled all over the world together. They were 6 and 10 when we first came, and now they’re 15 and 19. We even returned so they could study for their exams, because these typical Cretan apartments are so comfortable in every season, even when it rains. If you like cats, it’s paradise. If you don’t, it still works, since Eleni and Manolis keep them out of the houses. For us, it’s the best place to stay in Crete, and maybe the world.
