The hosts made us feel welcome right away, with raki, fresh water in the fridge, and a traditional Cretan dessert. They were friendly and helpful throughout, and we had a lovely stay. The accommodation looks just as good as its photos, with modern furnishings and clean rooms. It sits right by the sea, so the view is wonderful and the sunsets are right there. There's a little sandy cove nearby where you can rent loungers, and the calm water makes it good for families. A taverna is next door and can serve meals on the terrace; the main beach is about a five-minute drive away, and there's a small supermarket close by. There's also a little fishing harbor nearby, where you can book trips to Balos and Gramvousa.
