We could have happily stayed a few more days. The house is a joy to spend time in, with tasteful details throughout and incredible cleanliness. It feels like a best friend has lent you their very cool country home, and the photos don’t do it justice. There’s room for seven across three upstairs sleeping rooms, with the option of sleeping downstairs too. There are two bathrooms upstairs and another downstairs. From the terrace you can see the sea, though a tall palm tree gets a little in the way. The kitchen has plenty of equipment, plus basics like oil and spices for cooking at home. It’s a lovely rural spot in Crete, up in the hills and just under eight minutes by car from Kissamos. You do need a car, but it makes a good base for exploring the western side of the island and nearby beaches. Families, including larger ones, would fit well, and smaller groups can stay comfortably for longer too. The host lives next door and gave us a warm welcome.

We didn’t have to wait at check-in because our hosts were there ready for us. They also cooked local dishes for us several times, and everything was really tasty. They were attentive throughout. The villa was spotless, beautifully decorated, fully furnished, and fitted with new things and all the services we needed. We even had a barbecue on the terrace. We’d definitely recommend it.

The house and its outdoor space are sunny and charming, and there’s plenty of peace and quiet without being far from everything. Her mother made us feel at home. The house is well furnished with useful things, even beach towels, and they cooked a wonderful welcome meal for us. They were always ready to help with planning our trips and nights out. Thanks for everything, and we hope you have lots of happy guests like us!
