Villa Erato

The pool area was a highlight, with a gorgeous view, plenty of loungers and sun chairs, a shaded dining spot, and a big barbecue with the gear you need and a sink for rinsing and washing up. The gardens were kept up well and the outdoor areas had enough lighting. It’s very peaceful around the villa. You can walk down the road to a restaurant or bar, and if you drive there are plenty more options. For Argostoli, we found it easier to park by the walking bridge and cross on foot, with lots of places to eat, drink, and shop there. The beach just down the road is beautiful, though the walk back up is a trek. There are goats wandering around down there too. We didn’t manage to do everything on the island, so we’ll be back, and we’d book Villa Erato again. I’d recommend it to anyone after a spacious place with the comforts of home. John met us when we arrived at Villa Erato, showed us around, explained what we needed to know, and suggested local places for food and drinks. There was cheese, ham, milk, fruit, bread, wine, water, and more waiting for us. The villa was stocked with just about everything: coffee makers and pods, teas, condiments, a toaster, different toastie makers, dishwasher tablets, an iron and board, and washing detergent for the machine. He was very nice and easy to communicate with, and checked in to see if we had what we needed. He also told us to get in touch if anything else came up. The villa was stunning and the first thing I noticed was how clean it was. It’s modern and spacious, with a large kitchen, big fridge and freezer, dining area with a full-size table and chairs, two sofas, a large coffee table, a big TV and unit, and a downstairs bathroom with a shower. There are two balconies, including one with a big outdoor dining table. Upstairs are three roomy bedrooms with lots of storage and balconies. One has an en-suite, and the bathroom with a shower and bath is easy to access from the other two rooms. There’s also a separate flat downstairs with a kitchen, dining area, shower room, double bedroom, and plenty of storage. Our group of six adults and two children never felt crowded. It’s well placed for exploring the island by car, and there was still plenty we hadn’t had time to do. We’ll definitely return to Villa Erato.

It was easy to explore the island by car from this well-positioned villa. Manos, the managing agent, was available whenever needed, and communication about cleaning was excellent. The place was clean and spacious, with beautiful views. The pool is on a lower level than the house, and the sunsets were stunning.

Everything about the stay was great. The house felt thoughtfully laid out and was very clean. The view from the pool was breathtaking, too.

The location was amazing, and it had everything you need for a perfect vacation.
