Abelomilos Exclusive Villa

My payment was rejected and the booking canceled one week before the trip. I’d reserved five months in advance, but the price had since gone up by about 30%, so I think that may be why they canceled. If you book early, be careful.

This was an excellent base for a family holiday, and we’d be glad to return to Abelomilos Exclusive Villas. We stayed in the large villa, which had plenty of room and privacy from the other two villas in the complex. It was clean, well equipped, and in good condition. The beds are on the firm side but were okay. The host was helpful and quick to respond, and Maria’s daily house cleaning was brilliant. Someone also came each day to care for the clean pool. The house sits by a 10m cliff, with stone steps leading straight down to a pebble and stone beach. Beach or swimming shoes are needed. The water stays shallow for a while, making it suitable for children, and depending on the wind the beach is fairly sheltered. You can see it from the villa terrace and keep an eye on children from above. The sea views are lovely, and there’s lots of parking. The location is isolated rather than in the center, so nights are quiet. The beach is very close and mostly to yourselves. There are three villas, a large Exclusive Villa with pool and terrace, a mid-sized villa with a pool, and a smaller one. Breakfast is provided, with basic cereals and bread. Oil, salt and pepper, and simple cooking condiments are there too.

We had a good time and would return. The host was warm and welcoming, and the villa was thoughtfully laid out with several bedrooms and a lounge. It sits right by the beach with a great sea view. The private pool is on the small side, but nice.

The sunrise was mesmerizing, and definitely worth getting up early for. We had a relaxing few days in a wonderful villa, and the owner was lovely and very friendly. Maro and Maria helped us get groceries, order food, and arrange transfers. We had a great time.
