Day One Fira Mansion

The property was clean and very well located, within walking distance of the main sights and the bus depot. My mom and I stayed for a few days. Check-in was a bit awkward because there was no staff on site. We were sent a video showing how to find the room and the key outside the door, but there were several gates and the instructions weren't very clear. A bit of back-and-forth on WhatsApp eventually got us to our room. Anyone working remotely should know that the village sometimes loses internet and electricity, and our mobile network didn't work well inside the room.

Leila was very helpful and clearly wanted us to have a good stay, and the location was great. The apartment's mezzanine ceiling is too low for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. My kids had to bend double to get to bed, and there isn't a wardrobe up there. There was also a window opening onto the roof terrace, so we could hear everything happening above us and lost some sleep. I think the terrace should be closed at night. The kitchen didn't have enough pans or utensils for me to prepare a proper meal.

The yard had lovely flowering bushes, and the rooftop was a handy place to watch the sunrise. We enjoyed the hot tub and had a nice stay in this apartment, close to the city centre.

The hosts were accommodating and available any time of day, and there was a terrace with seating where we could enjoy a coffee and the view. The rooms were clean and had basic things like utensils, a microwave, television and dining table. The place was economically priced for its location, close to Fira's main market and bus station, both easily walkable.
