Kastro Suites

The sunset views from the room and courtyard were amazing, and the Caldera views were wonderful. We had the spacious sunset suite, with a separate living area and bedroom, plus a big courtyard with two sofas and a jacuzzi. Breakfast was lovely, though the vegetarian options weren't good. The welcoming staff did a great job. Gabriel met us at the drop-off point and carried our bag while guiding us to the hotel. It's right on the cliff, next to the cable car station, in the middle of Fira's beautiful streets, close to everything you'd expect. The uphill approach is hard with several heavy bags. Our ferry pickup never arrived, but the return transfer to the airport was excellent. Staff also did a great job contacting the taxi people to get my forgotten bag.

We paid $450 for a private five-hour tour through their travel agency and got very little for it. Driver Yurgolos took us where he wanted instead of following our itinerary. We missed some of the main sights because he wasted time at places we hadn't asked to visit, then ran out of time. He was also late and drove extremely fast on the narrow, winding roads. I wouldn't recommend this business.

We had a great time at this hotel. The view was amazing, the location perfect, and our suite was spacious and full of light. The staff were super nice and helped with everything we needed. The one thing that bothered me was the cleaning: the old bathtub had lots of mold, and there were sticky cups left in the room from previous guests. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

The staff made our 4D3N visit feel special, and Chris & Lucas deserve a thank you for organizing everything. We stayed at Kastro Suites in Fira, where the caldera views from beside the cable car station were stunning. From our room we watched donkeys going up and down the path, and had the pool to ourselves for sunset. Breakfast was a feast with a lovely restaurant view. We were the first group of guests in 2025 under the new management, and they were still finishing small touch-ups before we arrived in early June. There were a few teething issues, but they barely affected our stay.
