That hill is serious, even if you’re fit. I’m in my 30s and managed it, but I saw some older couples struggling enough that it kept them from heading into town for dinner. Keep that in mind. Chora is only about a five-minute walk away, and the hotel itself is peaceful. Our first-floor room was simple but had what we needed, including a comfortable bed, though there was just one pillow each. The big terrace had wonderful views, especially at sunset, and was a lovely place for an aperitivo before walking into town. The owners were neither especially friendly nor unfriendly, and the hotel didn’t have much of a vibe. I’d come back, maybe splitting the stay between here and somewhere a little more upmarket.

The room was roomy and clean, the pool was lovely and well kept, and the view was hard to believe. Staff were ready to help with whatever we needed. It’s just outside the main town, so restaurants and groceries are an easy walk, although the hill is steep. We also walked down to the beach and back, about 45 minutes each way. This ended up being one of my favorite stays anywhere. If I return to Folegandros, I already know where I’ll stay.

Getting to the hotel means tackling a very steep hill, but those island and church views made the daily climb worthwhile. The location puts you near the middle of the island and within walking distance of Chora, where everything happens. They arranged transfers between the port and hotel, and our room had a breathtaking view. The owner runs the place and was accommodating and helpful, including helping us rent a scooter.

The view is amazing, and the staff were both friendly and helpful. We had a couple of windy days, but still enjoyed our time there. It’s a beautiful hotel, just a short walk from Chora. Definitely recommend it.

We especially liked how calm and relaxing Miramare felt, even though Chora was only a short walk away and the hotel was well placed for exploring the island. After a day out, the refreshing pool was great to come back to. Our room was comfortable, clean, and had a lovely view. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the shuttle to the port made getting there much easier. Highly recommended!
