Kallicrates Village

A great place with good people and a laid-back feel. The whole property is beautifully maintained, with gardens, trees and a great pool. In the small beach village of Fragokastello, this family-run studio hotel was just right for a peaceful, refreshing vacation. Antonis has put real attention into the place and makes you feel at home. My room was immaculate, with a lovely balcony facing the garden, air conditioning, a mini kitchenette and refrigerator. Don’t skip breakfast: there’s a generous spread, from loaded omelettes and bread to my favorite, the traditional Sfakia pie with myzythra cheese and honey. The bar is fully stocked, and drinks by the pool before or after dinner are a treat. Antonis also knows the area well and can share plenty of information about beaches, tavernas, hikes and historic places around the island. Quiet, serene, clean and relaxing, just the sort of hospitality I needed.

Everything looked brand new, and the staff were friendly and keen to help with advice. Our very clean room had a little terrace with a table and chairs where we could relax. The pool and garden were well looked after, and the nearest beach is just a five-minute walk away.

A relaxing stay and a really good experience. The place is gorgeous and clean, and our room had a kitchen, fridge and ocean view. Even though we checked in late, the owner greeted us and helped carry our luggage to the room. We had breakfast by the pool with a view of the mountains. ❤️👍

A comfortable base for exploring the real, wild Crete, in a spectacular spot for visiting Imbros Gorge, Aradena Gorge, Marmara Beach, Louthro, Frangokastello and the many wild, beautiful beaches. The owners were very friendly, the studios were clean with good furniture, and there was a nice swimming pool and bar. We felt great here.
