Gavdos Studios

People were friendly, but check out at 10 is ridiculous. I’ll try somewhere else next time I’m on Gavdos. A note in the room warning that the hotel water isn’t potable would be really helpful.

The Studios are simple, small island accommodation, so don’t expect five star rooms or service. Still, ours was clean and tidy, comfortable, and had a little kitchen corner. Even in August, it was peaceful. Melo, the manager, was very kind and accommodating, and can also arrange paid logistics services if you need them. The beach is a few minutes’ walk away, with some nice taverns and a mini market offering good prices and quality. The Studios are not far from the port, and the public bus makes getting there easy. My husband and I booked at the last minute while we were staying in Crete and decided to visit marvelous Gavdos. Luckily, we found this nice place. I’d recommend staying here if you’re visiting the island.

The rooms are simple and basic, but have everything you need for a stay on beautiful Gavdos. The people who work for Consolas make the place feel special. Amazing basic place to stay, highly recommend.
