Gavrion's Nest - Premium Cycladic Studio

We were four people and had a great time here. The apartment gave us plenty of room, with good-sized bedrooms, a living room, dining room, bathroom, and a well-stocked kitchen. It was clean, stylish, and well furnished. Although it sits right on the main street, we didn't have noise problems in the bedrooms. Restaurants, bakeries, and a market are only a few minutes away on foot. From the apartment, you can look over the port gate and watch ferries arrive and leave, or people moving around in the evening. Andros is a small place that suits a slow, relaxed visit. We booked through AirBNB. Our original reservation was in 2019, but the pandemic meant we had to rearrange twice. Stamatis was understanding each time and worked with us as dates kept changing. He was a great host, and his mother was always there if we needed anything.

The big yard was a real bonus. Wind and rain didn't spoil it, so we could enjoy it at any time. Mr. Stamatis and Mrs. Dionysia added to the feeling of being with family. Gavrio may not be the island's best-known area, but this location is especially handy on arrival and departure. A pharmacy, bank, supermarket, bakeries, and restaurants are all just seconds or a few minutes away on foot. The accommodation was beautifully done and equipped far better than I'd expected from what we'd been told on the phone. It also seemed like the best value in the wider area, even for a family with two small children. I really hope it's available the next time we visit Andros.

Everything was spotless and carefully looked after, right down to the little details. The hosts were warm, and when a problem came up they responded straight away.

Mrs. Dionysia was so kind and welcoming, and ready to help with anything we needed. The room was spacious and lovely, in a great spot at the port of Gavrio. I highly recommend it.
