The apartment was modern, clean and nice, with two bedrooms and a pleasant yard. One thing to know: check-in is at a hotel in kalikratia. The apartment is up a hill, so it’s not very convenient with small children. The beach and restaurants are downhill, and there are no streetlights or sidewalks, while cars drive fast.

After ten hours of travel, being told to collect the villa keys from a hotel was awful. We wanted to pay by card, but that wasn’t possible, and although we’d already paid half, the receptionist said she wouldn’t hand over the keys unless we paid the rest right then. Luckily, we had cash, even though we were told we could pay the next morning. The staff were extremely inadequate. We stayed seven nights. Our room, called Tavan, was very narrow, and the bathroom was so low and cramped that a normal-sized person couldn’t stand upright. Our friends were put in the basement. The nearby beach was very dirty and still.
