Dimitra Apartments

The family who run Dimitra Apts are what make the place special, and we'd happily recommend it. The taverna's food and atmosphere were hard to beat, even with plenty of good restaurants nearby. The rooms are spacious and have what you need for a self-catering stay, while the pool is lovely if you don't fancy the five-minute walk to the beach. Tom and Fiona

The owner is such a lovely lady. She takes time to talk with everyone and makes you feel like a friend, not just a customer. We were staying nearby and ate lunch and dinner at Dimitra Taverna almost every night. We tried a few other tavernas around the area, but kept coming back. I come from a Greek family and know how the food should taste, and here it was exceptional. Leaving on our last night was really sad. I can't wait to return next year.

We didn't stay at the apartments, but we ate at the Taverana almost every day. At lunch we'd chat with guests staying there, and they had nothing but good things to say about both the rooms and the food. Lovely place, lovely owners.

We were in Crete for two weeks at the end of August and ate here four times. The staff were welcoming, polite and lovely, and the food was amazing home cooking. I'd definitely come back here if I return to Crete.
