It’s listed as a 2-star hotel, but it has lovely grounds and a great location. With some care and attention, it could be a hidden gem. As it is, the place feels like stepping back into the 80s, and the basics are disappointing. Our bathroom smelled, the shower was tiny, and its curtains didn’t keep water in the tray. There was no shower head holder or space for toiletries. We booked a double bed but got two singles. Check whether air conditioning is included in your booking, as some travel agents charge extra for it. The afternoon receptionist was lovely and very helpful. Breakfast could look better with the food facing guests and more than small amounts set out at a time. The Greek yoghurt was lovely, but the selection was basic: cake, toast, ham, cheese, two cereals, egg, yoghurt and tinned peaches. The price reflects how basic it is, but it’s disappointing. The owners could make it a hidden gem if they invested in guest comfort.

The location is handy, close to everything and a strip of restaurants and bars with lovely staff. There are cheap souvenir shops too. It’s a decent hotel for a short stay, and could suit a couple or family, but the breakfast has little variety and I’d go to a restaurant instead. There’s no lift, and nobody offered to help with our luggage. I had to carry three 25kg suitcases up two flights of stairs, and we were given the room farthest away. The busy road nearby woke me at 3am every night with motorcycles and cars speeding past. The pool hours, 11am to 7pm, were another downside. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have large suitcases.

The people were very friendly, and the hotel suited both a quiet family vacation and anyone wanting to experience nightclubs and discos. Restaurants, bars, tavernas and shopping centers selling traditional art, souvenirs, beach items and other things were all nearby, with excellent prices. There’s also an old Greek Orthodox Church close to the hotel. The service and place made for an unforgettable vacation. I’d love to go back soon. Thanks to the owners for creating such a nice, high-quality place. God bless them! Highly recommend it.

I stayed here in September 2023. The hotel is basic but very clean, and the staff are lovely and friendly. Breakfast is a basic continental spread, but good for the price. The pool is small, though lovely and clean. The location is excellent. The main restaurants and bars in Gouvia are a two-minute walk away, and one bus goes to Corfu Town. In the other direction, one bus takes you to Ipsos or Paleokastritsa, depending where you want to go. I’d definitely stay again.

The room was old, the internet was always weak, and breakfast and service were both very bad. The air conditioning didn’t work well either. The bed was old and uncomfortable; we couldn’t sleep, and it gave us back pain.
