We had a lovely five-night break at this fantastic hotel in an amazing area. Room 282 overlooked the pool and was a great place to stay. The staff were friendly, especially Irini, who was very kind. We chatted a few times, and it was nice to hear how happy the staff were. Reception were helpful as well.

Reception were extremely good, especially Maria, and the pool staff were great too. Dionysos Hotel is in a good spot in Hanioti, with some of the best restaurants nearby. I paid for a Superior Double Room overlooking the pool, but the only apparent differences from a basic room were a hob, sink, and phone in the bathroom. Housekeeping cleaned the room quickly and was generally good, but they left cups, saucers, and glasses for the whole week. Reception told me I had a sink and could wash them myself. I hadn’t booked self-catering, and there were no cloths or washing-up liquid. Other guests in standard rooms said their dishes weren’t removed either, so I don’t understand why the hotel told me to do it myself after I paid more. I think it’s important to speak to a hotel before posting a negative review, so the response to my query surprised me. On another day, they left a sheet on my bed for me to put on myself. Other guests said it had happened to them too. Disappointing, though easy for the hotel to fix. The pool and pool bar open at 11 and are blocked off before then. The pool isn’t heated and is about 1.5 m deep. Guests put towels on sunbeds around 7:30, despite the notices, and there aren’t many beds in the sun, so you need to get there early. Breakfast was reasonable, with breads, pastries, fruit, and hot and cold food. It’s a good range for a week, though you might find it limited on a longer stay. These were minor problems overall, and it’s a lovely hotel for solo travelers and couples.

A decent hotel with a nice atmosphere and location, and good breakfast! We’d suggest putting coffee and tea in the room, since having a kettle without them doesn’t make much sense.

The rooms were clean and modern, but the pool area felt too small and lacked facilities. The pool doesn’t open until 11 each morning, and they remove towels from the sunbeds. Children and adults get told off for playing or splashing, and you can’t eat or drink anything around the pool unless you buy it there. It didn’t feel like a holiday environment and really spoiled the trip. Breakfast was very basic. I wouldn’t recommend this for a family holiday.

My mum and I came in May for our first visit to Halkidiki and had a really pleasant stay. Though it’s only a 3-star hotel, it was just what we needed: immaculate and well cared for. The staff, from reception to the cleaners, were lovely and made us feel welcome. There wasn’t a huge breakfast selection, but there was enough variety to get the day started. We also liked the pool area, with its small pool and bar. In May we always found a sun lounger, though it might be busier in July/August. The location was a highlight, with a supermarket across the road and plenty of restaurants a 5-10 minute walk away. A great little hotel that exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely return!
