It's a budget hotel in a very central spot, with everything within walking distance. I've stayed in far more luxurious places, but this one was more affordable and the service was much better. When I had a problem with the shower, they fixed it the same day. At the much more expensive Novotel in Athens, my issues were never resolved. I'd recommend this place 100%.

We phoned the day before arriving after our 4:30 AM ferry to check what to do. The woman said we didn't need a reservation and could “just come.” When we got there, reception was empty, so we called again. The man who answered was extremely rude and insisted “no one would tell you that,” basically accusing us of making it up. I know reservations are normally expected, but we followed exactly what we'd been told. I wouldn't recommend it after being treated that way.

The room was basic but very clean, exactly what we needed for our one night before flying home. The staff were kind, checked on us when we were later than our stated arrival time, and helped us find the closest airport bus stop for the early departure. We'll definitely come back to Lena, and hope to try the breakfast next time.

The owner and staff make you feel right at home, especially the gentleman who owns the place. The rooms have what you need to explore Heraklion and recharge. It's a mix of classical hotel culture inspired by the great time of the Russian Empire and practical Cretan touches. 🪆🏺❤️👍

For the price, this place was much better than expected. It's very clean and cozy, right in the city center and close to the sea. We got there around 9-10 a.m., and the owner let us check in straight away. Really grateful, and a great fit for travelers on a budget!
