Planis Str Urban Suites

The location is fantastic, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were on the third floor in room 34, right beside the main water system. Whenever someone in any room flushed a toilet, it made a huge noise for 15-30 seconds, which was a problem at night. Apart from that, I’d recommend the place.

We booked through booking.com, and the place felt a bit like an Airbnb. Check-in was online and we entered with a code. There is a receptionist, but only at certain hours and not every day. The service was very good: they let us into our room early, and a very kind woman welcomed us and said to tell her if we needed anything. The room itself was nice and comfortable, but the bathroom got so hot in the daytime that using it was almost impossible. The sun shines directly in, and the materials heat up so much that just stepping inside made you sweat. Also, there’s no lift, so you have to carry big suitcases up the stairs. We were on the second floor with two bags and two 10kg suitcases, which was a bit difficult.

The suites are right in the centre, newly refurbished, and very modern. We had a couple of small issues, like an empty soap dispenser, but the staff responded straight away. It can get a little noisy at night because of the location, though it didn’t bother us. We liked it a lot and would stay again.

We loved the setup of these modern suites, right near the centre of Heraklion. The staff were very friendly and quick to deal with any issues. There’s parking nearby at Heraklion City Center parking for €12 per 24 hours.
